In the year 1926, when Harivansh Rai Bachchan was 19, he got married to Shyama Bachchan, who was only 14 years old at that time, after nearly ten years of marriage, Shyama left the world in 1936. After this, in 1941, Bachchan did his second marriage with the Teji Suri of Punjab, which was associated with theater and singing. At the same time, he composed poems like ‘nid  ka punarnirman’. Early life:

Bachchan was born on November 27, 1907 in a Kayastha family in Babupatti, a small village in Pratapgarh district adjacent to Allahabad. His father’s name was Pratap Narayan Srivastava and his mother was Saraswati Devi. These were called ‘Bachchan’ in childhood, which literally means ‘child’ or child. Later they were famous by this name. He first studied Urdu in the Kayastha School, which was then considered the first step for the degree of law.

Harivansh Rai did MA in English Literature from Allahabad University in 1938 and was a spokesman of Allahabad University till 1952. In 1926 Harivansh Rai was married to Shyama, who died in 1936 after a long illness of TB. In the meantime, they were completely alone. Bachchan married Teji Suri in 1941. In 1952 he went to England to study, where he studied English literature / poetry at Cambridge University. After coming back from Cambridge in 1955, you were appointed as a Hindi expert in the Foreign Ministry of the Government of India. You were also the nominated member of the Rajya Sabha and in 1976 you received the title of Padma Bhushan. In 1955, Harivansh Rai Bachchan joined the External Department in Delhi, where he served for many years and also involved in the development of Hindi language. Bachchan was considered to be the very close friend of former Prime Minister of India, Shri Indira Gandhi. Harivansh Rai and Bachchan’s eldest son, Amitabh Bachchan, were injured in shooting of Kuli when Rajiv Gandhi came to America and Indira Gandhi came to see him from Delhi.
