She played football from 2006 to 2008 with Western Knights. In 2009 she started playing in the W-League for Perth Glory, that time she was just 15 year old. During her tenure in Perth Glory, her score three goals in ten match and won Goal of the year. At the same match she won player of the year. Later in 2014, Sam returned to Perth and led them to Westfield W-League Grand Final.
Samantha Kerr began playing for Western New York Flash, USA in 2013 and she made 21 appearances scoring six goals. Samantha Kerr played for Sky Blue from 2015 to 2017 where she smashed records scoring four goals in a single match.
