1) On 29 September 2008, three bombs went off in the state of Gujrat and Maharashtra. Two of them exploded near a mosque in Malegaon, a city in Maharashtra. In which six people were killed and more than 100 got enjured. Sadhvi Pragya was arrested and got accused of it. She was imprisoned for nine years. However after the trial, she was given a clean chit and acquitted all charge in 2017.
2)BJP MLA, Sunil Joshi Proposed her to marry but she refused and later, Sunil Joshi was shot dead in December. She along with seven others was held responsible for the murder and was arrested soon, later she was freed from the charge in 2017.
3) She remains in limelight for her controversial and provocative speeches. During a speech in Gujarat in 2018, she reffered to Sonia Gandhi as “ Itali Wali Bai” (made from Itali)

Sadhvi Pragya was born in a village in Bhind district of Madhya Pradesh. Her real name is Pragya Singh Thakur. Her father was a doctor of Ayurveda and was associated with the RSS. During her graduation in History, Pragya was active in the All India Student Council. After coming in contact with RSS, she took sannyas. Pragya is a great speaker.
