After a decade of predicting the weather at the station, 9News Meteorologist Danielle Grant has left KUSA, she announced last week via social media.
“After a decade of working mornings, noon’s and nights, it’s time for a change,” Grant said in a post on X. “While I predict the future for a living, I never imagined leaving my dream job. I hate change, but sometimes it’s necessary.”
Grant received a send off on Next with Kyle Clark last week, who was one of many 9News colleagues offering well wishes for her future endeavors, which she said are yet to be determined.
Grant studied meteorology at Mississippi State University and her career included stops at KBMT-TV (Beaumont, Texas) and KPNX-TV (Phoenix, Ariz.) before arriving at 9News.
“There’s of course so much more to Danielle than her work, but having worked with her for 2 and a half years, I also wanted to specifically point out how good she is at her job,” adds 9News Meteorologist Chris Bianchi. “She’s as good at her job as she is as a person – a very high bar. I’ll really miss working with Danielle, and I can’t wait to see her next step!”
Like many of the personalities at 9News, Grant was involved in charity work. She participated in the Anchor Center for blind children’s “Dancing with the Anchors” competition, winning the coveted Mirror Ball in 2019. Outside of her work, she is a self-expressed enjoyer of the outdoors, with hobbies that include snowboarding, wake boarding and horseback riding.
Grant returned to 9News after maternity leave in February of this year after welcoming a daughter last November.
At the time this article was posted, Grant’s bio had been deleted from the 9News website.
